THE PROJECT

LIT-SCAPE

Stories, there are infinite amount of them that were told and being told in various form, one of the oldest form of storytelling is books, dating back from the 1400s, the first book ever, being The Epic of Gilgamesh: a mythical retelling of an important political figure from history, that we know off. But story-telling had begun centuries before, from the age when cavemen drew on the walls of caves and still, the act of story-telling continues. We came a long way from stone tablets, papyrus scrolls and the world of stories is forever evolving. Story-telling might be changing with the times but 1 form of it is dying, books. Reading books is a dying culture in modern times. Less and less people are actually reading books for leisure and reading is considered a chore for learning that is being forced upon us for the sake of education. Even so, who is to say that reading and books could not be fun

Lit-Scape, deriving from the word literary and escape, literally means a literary escape. I wanted to provide a place for people who wish to take a break from the hustle and bustle of reality and escape into the infinite worlds in books. Lit-Scape is a safe haven for bibliophiles, potential bibliophiles and also the books itself. A place with the concept of everything revolves around books, and the stories they tell. With the main location as the tree of the project and where all the magic happens we spread our roots with our little libraries for people to reach more bibliophiles all over. The mission of this project is also a book merchant who brings books from all over various places to spread stories and knowledge to every person.
